Dear Mom & Dad:
Your card & present came just after I wrote the letter to you. Thanks for the Fanny Farmers – they came at a most opportune time. I got out of the hospital on Mon. & went right to duty – was assigned to class #62. Am now right back into the swing & feeling fine. I’m in Cook’s & Wheeler’s class now & see more of the boys. These last 2 days have been cold as the deuce – about 10° above. We were out on the range yesterday & it was cold even tho I had on my “long – Johns”, 2 shirts, 2 pr. Sox, jacket and overcoat. This is really a windy state. Will shoot my first problem tomorrow so I’ll write & let you know the outcome Saturday. For now – so long.
Love, Dorance
